I went to Uganda on a mission trip in 2009, and that is when I first met Carol. I later returned to work at Westminster Theological Seminary in Uganda. It was then that I had a chance to get to know her. We were friends for some time, went to the same church, served in the youth group, and as we did that, we realized that we were drawn to each other. We then decided to date each other, and later got married.
After two years of trying different occupations in Uganda, we moved to the United States, where we eventually started a food truck business in 2016. We started out working farmer’s markets before expanding into festivals and food truck events. In 2022 we worked our first hurricane relief activation. We loved having the opportunity to serve people in our community that experienced hurricane Ian in the worst way possible. Since then we have worked many more hurricane and fire relief activations. We have served tens of thousands of meals in disaster areas. We want to be able do more and more to fight hunger, and to show God’s love to those in need.
